Rug making process

Rug making process:

Handwoven rugs are made in villages and small towns in India. Our rugs are usually made in North India (Rajasthan, Haryana, UP, etc.) where we work with specialist artisans for different types of rugs. 

The manufacturing is supported by comprehensive quality checks and more importantly years of trust and pride of the skilled artists who take pride in their creations!

Step 1: Quality raw material is sourced and selected. 

We usually work with natural materials like cotton, wool, jute/hemp and combination of these fibers for our rugs. The raw material is produced in India and this supports sustainability for the farmers. 

 

Step 2: Spinning into yarns for loading on looms

Step 3: Dyeing of yarn

 

Step 4: Weaving on looms

 

Step 5: Washing & Finishing of rugs

 

Step 6: Finished products, ready to be part of someone's living space.
